U.S. postal, M.N. issue.
F.Y.I.
The U.S. Postal Service on July 28, 2011 issued four 44 cent stamps honoring the U.S. Merchant Navy. The stamps are artist renditions of a: clipper ship, auxiliary steamship, liberty ship and container ship.

Stamps
Sounds good. Of course the British post office did issue a set of 6 (?) ships stamps a few years back. They were mostly liners old & new. I think Im right in saying it was when QM2 came into service as I wrote to Commodore Bill Warwick who was her first Master and he kindly autographed one for me. I stopped collecting
after forty years that was both British & US stamps & covers in 2000
