Re: Think of this Mr. Salmond and all those Yes voters
I dont give a damn who wins or loses, But I would like to see Salmonds Face if he loses.
.
I still cannot see why they are poncing about demanding independence. they already have it.
Scots have their own Parliament.................................,, England does not have a Parliament.
Scottish MPs vote on English Issues in Westminster, ......No English MPs in Scottish Parliament
Scots get free prescriptions for medicines, .....................England they have to pay £8,05 per item.
Scots get free University places, ....................................England, students pay £9,000
So can any Scotsman tell me why do they whinge all the time.
Can anyone tell me,, If an extremist organisation was to attack and destroy a Scottish Oil Rig, who will they call on to help.???
.
I dont care either way, Just curious is all.
Brian.

Re: Think of this Mr. Salmond and all those Yes voters
Sadly, Friendships are going to be lost forever. No matter which way the vote goes on Thursday 18th September, Hate and Vengance will win the day. Salmond (the dratsab) will have succeeded in creating bad relationships between families throughout Scotland, thus starting a non-religious form of Sectarian warfare.
The Dangers of Violence and Vandalism Loom Ahead.

Re: Think of this Mr. Salmond and all those Yes voters
Brian, we've now got the Cornish down here saying that Cornwall has been recognised by the EU as a seperate country so why cannot they have devolution like the Scots and their own parliament and that the UK does not recognise their contribution to the UK economy. Don't know what they are drinking down there but I doubt that Cornish Pasties, cream teas and clotted cream sent around the UK will pay for the health services provided, public transport, universities etc etc etc, what kind of blinkers are these people wearing. They even have to combine with Devon to get a police force, what kind of defence force do they anticipate having. Is it something in the water.

Re: Think of this Mr. Salmond and all those Yes voters
I don't see much positive thinking on this thread, I do see a lot of "whataboutery" and ridiculous comments ... getting to be as bad as the "if yer granny had balls would she become yer granda". Come on lads, you are all better than that. A big plus for the Scots would be the fact that they would be able to have a constitution for the first time. The alternative is to do what we did and have a civil war.

Right Bob, we wait with baited breath for your positive comments, but if 'a big plus for the Scots would be the fact that they would have a constitution for the first time' is the flavour of things to come, think I'll stop waiting.

Re: Think of this Mr. Salmond and all those Yes voters
Hi Bob,
Do you have any positive comments to make??
I see that you live in froggy france, and Not in Scotland or even in the UK. so what possible interest would it all be to you. The Scots having a constitution would not make any difference to you.
Independence or remaining in the UK will not affect you at all.
All we are doing is pointing out a few items that Salmond has appeared to forget in his costing.
If Scotland does vote for Independence he is unlikely to be President if his party is not elected, There would have to be a General Election to elect a government, with all the associated Ministeries, both internal and overseas. He has not even decided what kind of currency he is going to use, That would have find a value on the international markets. How many `Scots` to a Dollar for example, or to the euro, How many `Scots` to the Yen or Rouble or Peso, Has Salmond figured all that out yet. He cannot trade with the world if there is no value to it.
He will have to have Embassies in every country in the world full of Diplomatic Staff, has he sorted all that out yet.
He has not said so. There are many many things to do to be an independent nation.
Will there be Border Cossing check points across the southern border with England, what about Illegal immigrants. the list is endless.
I think Salmond wants to sponge of us British.
Cheers
Brian

Re: Think of this Mr. Salmond and all those Yes voters
Maybe the negative comment here comes from people who have been south of Berwick and beyond the coastal range for a whilst , some who have seen small republics , and some with common sense . I honestly don't care what the Scots do ,their decision , but see that if they go , there is no coming back . Any comment i have made is non political , but based solely on when eve I see Salmon on TV and he is asked a question his comment seems to be just wait it will be right on the night . Well I don't think it ill be , and I believe the sensible Scots are seeing beyond Brave-heart , and Wallace , to no currency , no embassies , no NATO , no EC , ll these things will have to be sorted after the event . To me , that is bit like the wee lassie in the naughty house in the morning trying to get a higher pay rate , you sort the money out before you do the deed , anyone wondering wher the referenve to naughty houses comes from , an old South Shields Brothel Keeper told me , tjhe saying was , last night you are a one legged princess , this morning you are not !!!!!!

Re: Think of this Mr. Salmond and all those Yes voters
all I can say great Britain will be a poorer country not financially but they are a great part of our history and a great mixture with the English welsh Irish although I think they will stay with the union..salmon is trying to make a name for a legacy for himself he is not a young man and could leave his country in the sh.te for his own ego? ok give Scotland more freedom from Westminster through their own parliament.just my view jp
