Goole docks
Three men have died working on a German ship in Goole dock. They have been disscharging the timber cargo. Very strange, more news will follow i expect KT

One was a 60 year old German the other a 33 year old from the Philippines.The ship the Suntis was carrying a cargo of timber.

Over the years there have been a number of incidents with ships of this size carrying timber deck cargoes. Its usually found that the deck cargo shifts on passage and when in port the crew start unlashing the cargo, then the stow collapses either on top of them or they get thrown onto the dock. Search the MAIB and it will give you similar instances.

According to my paper they all died from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning, deaths are not thought to be suspicious.
