I worked with an irish lad call einus ? two men showed up on the site looking for him we thought they were cops he had made a girl pregnant and did a runner from down south anyway he was away gone jumped in his car and vanished?? later we found out they were from the premium bonds and he had won 5 grand they had been looking for him for a year{I bet he is still running}.true jp

Verdun was the longest battle in WW1 costing over 700,000 lives of French and Germans February to December 1916. see google, interesting.

There was a guy called Tommy Shufflebottom,his mate said to him I'd change your name if I were you before you go to sea,so he did he changed it to John Shufflebottom.

Did business with a guy called Hugh Pratt and often wondered what his parents had in mind when he was christened, he must have had a hard time at school. Mind you it was a name that suited the carrier
