    Default Russian cruise ship

Sounds too good to be true, but interesting article, The Abandoned Russian Cruise Ship Drifting Towards Europe No One Wants To Claim - Seriously, For Real?, unless of course its false. But i had not heard of it anyway, regards KT

The ship is the Lyubov Orlova, built in 1976, and laid up for 2 years owing $250,000 . She left Canada under tow to a scrapyard in the Dominican Republc, and broke free from the tow,she also broke free from a supply ship , and because by then she was in international waters, the Canadians just let her drift, knowing that she was heading for Europe. The last report said that she was 1300 miles off Ireland, and was rat infested, so the Irish don't want it beaching there!. perhaps someone will attempt to get it under tow, as I understand it is worth $800,000 as scrap.

She may be worth that amount as scrap but what will it cost to bring her to a breakers yard? Might be cheaper to sink her where she is.

i would imagine she is on the bottom now, no sightings for a long time, cant imagine the powers that be not knowing her position.
