Drink plenty of fluid we are told.
Five cups of good instant coffee a day, that is about two liters.
Then I drink water, about one point five per day.
Then a beer, about 350 mils per day.
Then a glass of wine, about 170 mils.
The go to the loo about three times during the night.

You only have to go back 50 years when up for first aid certificates and the advice for treating someone for stress , exactly opposite what it is today, Then keep the victim warm ,give him a cigarette if he smokes, and a glass of whatever spirits you have at hand , today just the opposite , I wonder what mastermind spoiled the small bit of happiness. Today I went for what I thought was a brain scan I had to undress and answer a lot of question e.g. did I have any metal inserts in my body , did I have any tattoos ? Etc.etc.when I asked I was to have a brain scan I was informed when in the chamber it would have to be a quick one as inside the chamber was a mass of magnetism and too much time scanning the brain was a no no, and had to do a general one of the whole body which I’m not complaining about. However when they mentioned magnetism I had to stop myself from asking them could I sue the shipowner if any damage was found as quiet often I had my head stuck inside the magnetic compass ?.,there was no special helmet suppled like there was today.Cheers JS

    Hi John
Great that news, he so far hasn't said that you have a problem, maybe it is just age related.
Shows what stress can do, I had to take a drink of whisky this morning when two plumbers turned up and fixed our gutter back up, the boss said he even put snow straps on the gutter to the roof to make sure it never came down again, the relief to get it done after waiting for over a month, the wife said she is not worried what they charge she was so relieved to see it done, might need two plumbers to carry the bill in.

Had a number of scans in late 2023 but nothing was found, but what were they looking for they never told me.
However they did find and fix a problem with an Angiogram.

#16 Never mind Des after the first $ 1000 the insurance should cut in ? Don’t have that worry living in a retirement village. Mind have to pay for inside damage but insured after $300 , had to use it when put myself through the glass door of the wardrobe when the total bill was $800, no loss of no claims though.JS

    Talking about Dr Visits !
Well last Week i had to go to the Dr. for my 85 Years old Driving Medical, went well no real issues except he has now said i can only Drive during Daylight hrs. No hassle there as for the past 18 months i have,nt been driving at night anyhow.
Also had to still go to my Optometrist after ( Drs. Report about daytime driving) to the RTA. Again no probs , the Glaucoma check was fine as well, no change from 2 Years back now, so Drops are keeping it a Bay.\

Taking Vit B12 , B6 AND B9, this also apparently helps keep the Glaucoma steady!

Then it was off for my Driving Practical Test, booked a private Lady, and it was a piece of cake ! Passed with only one circle on the list , so she commented and said how good a Driver i am at my age! Yipeee!

So thats that for another 2 Years (Practical Test that is ) and another Year for the next Medical Test!

    Bleedin NSW !

So all good to go on Speed! Tests now ! LOL
