Re: ante covid vaccination
Heard a good one today.
A friend of a friend went for the test.
Having waited for about four hours after filling in the form he gave up and wen home before having the test.
Shock horror, three days later gets a message to say he has the Virus.!!!!!!!!

Re: ante covid vaccination
At it again is the damed Virus, now hitting the Northern Beaches here , and spreading to other parts as well, latest 41 new cases found. Thousands of Holiday Makers rushed to the Air Port to get out of NSW before the Border Restrictions were tightened, the Airport here resembled a refugee rush to get out of the place LOL
So now not knowing how things are going to go, we again sit and wait!
Dont know what kind of a Xmas it is going to be now again this has sprung up??
Thank goodness we had not planned anything and will still just be at Home!
Cheers
PS Wonder where in the Blue Mountains those Claddings were made Victoria??

Re: ante covid vaccination
Victoria, I have to disagree with you on that one.
The Vaccine was not rushed.
Oxford have been working on a Vaccine for some time on the assumption that at some time there would be an animal to human problem with disease.
Coupled with that an Iranian millionaire couple had been working for some years on a once in a life time Flu shot.
None of the scientists work alone, they concur with others in other countries.
The couple then began to work with Oxford on their Vaccine.

Victoria, whilst I bow to, and respect your superior medical knowledge because of your profession and no way would I argue with, I must take issue with your 'rushed' assertion. In normal times it would be considered rushed. In normal times Labs would be working 9 - 5 on 5 days a week because of commercial reasons and there would be no reason to rush things and they would be working alone and not in collaberation with other companies. In this instance countries, not just labs, have been working together 24/7 to beat this, they have condensed 5 years into one year or less and have been given their govt's money to do so. No govt (perhaps except China) would dare give the go ahead to inject their whole population with something that has not passed all the tests. People get adverse reactions to all kinds of jabs, we having been at sea were subject to all kinds of jabs in various countries and we couldn't refuse, some had adverse effects, didn't mean to say that the jab was bad.

Well said Ivan, another aspect is the fact that testing results in the UK have been forwarded to the respective approval bodies on a rolling basis as they became available, not kept until the end of development and subsequently issued en mass to the approval bodies, who would then take a long time to go through the masses of info to be considered.

Not much faith in our guy, seems to mess all up.
But, as you say we can only act on what we are told.
Sadly, they know that.

I'll leave it at that on that subject

Re: ante covid vaccination
A few months ago I read an article on vaccine research and how a some vaccines take years to develop.
One lab. created a vaccine (safe) in six months using AI computers.
The covid virus has had scientists from all over the world assisting in its (or their) development.
When offered I will have it.
