Re: Going into hospital 12/5/14
Well shipmates, was back at the hospital yesterday, saw the dietitian first, she was happy I am following the reccommended eating regime (small and often) my choice of food stuffs pleased her, I am now down to 9st 9lbs from 11st, and am on drink supplements each a 1000 calories, they are not too bad to take. She noticed I was eating cheese and crackers for my supper and gratulated me, I asked if I could take blue stilton, she said yes of course, I pushed my luck and asked if I could have a glass of port with the stilton, she said of course, in moderation lol.
And the best news of the day was when the Cancer Nurse gave me the news that the type 3 cancer I had, was fully removed. All I need to do now is build up my strength and weight once more. To say I am a happy bunny is putting it mildly.

Re: Going into hospital 12/5/14
some more good news, have been to see my surgeon today, I have put on 50grms of weight, not a lot to some but to me its great, I am no longer loosing it.
Surgeon was very happy with my speedy progress, and said I should continue along that road, but he needs to see me in 3 months.
Best news yet I can continue my old life style, and drink beer and go to the pub again.
One happy old man tonight, all I need now is for our first haggis to get defeated in September.
