Not sure now Den but back in the 60's when it was called Nigerian Lager that was true.
My father was general manager of the London brewery in Park Royal, both now long gone, and in those days Guiness was not brewed overseas. The beer was pasturised and sent in bulk to parts of africa nad then bottled by local breweries. Unless chilled it tasted bloody awful, now it is brewed on site in these countries.

Had a second vist with my surgeon yesterday, all good news. He is happy with my progress and i am gaining weight, just a little. Visits are being cut to 6 monthly, my main problem is eatting small and often, but I am getting there.

Just off now to have a cancerous mole on my chest cut out at Salford Royal, no probs, have had a few cut out now, I am escaping in instalments. 11 am., hopefully I can get off this medication. my hair has fallen out, finger nails fall out eye balls burning, skin burning , BUT worst of all I haven't had a drink since last April.
back later today.

my mate had a similar set of hair nails and other ailments after a night in hamburg .....he couldnt drink for sges when taking theb tablets ....but unlike youself brian they dydnt cut it off .........hope all goes well regards cappy
