I have no problem with the Welsh, my step grandmother came from there!!!! Enough on that one.
They keep a welcome in the hillside and for those who may require a welcome it is there, but not for me.
They lay rugby with Vigor but sometimes up set me by beating England.
They sing.....................
They have produced some very good singers, Burley Chassis, Tom the Welshman Julia Gillard Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
But like the remains of the Uk they are from a base made up of so many other nationalities that it begs the question, will the real Welsh please stand up along with the real Englisjman, the real Scot, the real Irishman........................................

Utter nonsence;
The lack of knowledge of history, beggars belief.
RE: But like the remains of the Uk they are from a base made up of so many other nationalities that it begs the question ?
It would be worth a double check on a few basic facts.
Roman, Saxon, Norman , Viking, thorough bred Anglo Saxon ?

I have done my family history.
On both my Mothers side and my Fathers side our family names go back over 1,500 years around the Lancashire area.
So I consider my self English.
Cheers
Brian.

Melting Pot:
Take a pinch of white man
Wrap him up in black skin
Add a touch of blue blood
And a little bitty bit of red Indian boy
Curly Latin kinkies
Mixed with yellow Chinkees, yeah
You know you lump it all together
And you got a recipe for a get along scene
Oh what a beautiful dream
If it could only come true, you know, you know
What we need is a great big melting pot
Big enough enough enough to take
The world and all its got And keep it stirring for a hundred years or more
And turn out coffee coloured people by the score
Rabbis and the friars
Vishnus and the gurus
We got the Beatles or the Sun God
Well it really doesn't matter what religion you choose
And be thankful little Mrs. Graceful
You know that livin' could be tasteful
We should all get together in a lovin machine
I think I'll call up the queen
It' s only fair that she knows, you know, you know
What we need is a great big melting pot
Big enough enough enough to take
The world and all its got And keep it stirring for a hundred years or more
And turn out coffee coloured people by the score

Brian.
Historically, you woud then be a desendant of the Brythonic / Celtic / Welsh.
English is relatvely new - after Latin / Roman, Norman / French and Germanic / Saxon etc.
Hence yes a true Briton.
Welcome to the club.

Guess from what I'm reading in this thread Adam and Eve must have been either Welsh or Scottish, let us all genuflect and praise the Lord for the lands we new people conquered and let the Celts and Celtics reflect that they only have themselves to blame for spawning us

So Close:
Yet far away !
Those that wish to know more of an supposed own country, only need to read more.
Just because in the movies when acting the past do so in near English, doubt the Romans / Italiens did not converse in Latin, the Normans in French or the Saxons germanic. Who begat whom ?
My only contribution was England as it is now known is truly quite new. All else is history. The true tale is not that far off the Aborignal, Maori and Indian etc.
