Re: Hero Auctions Medal.
Think it called for a bit of Grecian 2000 that day. The deputy Minister of Transport was there trying to keep away from me at the meal table both lunch and dinner at night as kept on at him about the lousy conditions on safety boats. His boss Malcolm Rifkind didn’t show his face , got a letter from him instead. A couple of days of freebies in a Harrogate hotel the Crown , not too bad. Anything free should never be refused these days. Cheers JS

Re: Hero Auctions Medal.
I think that the Ben Roberts case is a Farce, bloody shame on them to do this to a real Soldier! He served his Country and did his outmost best, got rewarded and now what?? As said on here War is of self preservation, and many things are done that one would not in normal life do, but its the old saying, its Him or me!
I know too well the consequences of having to be in a position that you either pull that Trigger or Perish!
My late Brother too when with Col Mike Hoare in the Belgian Congo, had to do some awful things, but there again it was War!
Kill or be Killed. There should be no after !!! Whats done in War is done!
That my side anyway!
Mad as a Hatter!!
