Vandals who damage war memorials, gravestones and buildings of historic importance are to face stiffer sentences under new guidelines being handed out to judges and magistrates in England and Wales.

The move is intended to ensure that the full impact of such offences on the wider community is taken into consideration, rather than just the financial cost of their crime.

We heard Boris today spouting about the Free Trade agreement he is working on between Oz and UK.

He thinks the Penguins in UK are better than ours, but if I recall those in UK were covered in chocolate.

Now if we are to get this agreement it must work two ways, so to begin with we will be sending back to UK any undesirables, such as those who want to destroy statues in a reprisal for all the convicts you sent to us.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

I see that Oxford University Governing Body has passed a resolution to remove Rhodes Statue, or if you prefer Oxford graduates spelling Rodes and/or Roads: however they have to await planning permission, as Oxford University is a listed building. I wonder if the planners will have the guts to refuse permission, don't hold your breath.

Further to #81, Firms in London have agreed to give large donations to BAME, (no not 'Bobby Ate My Effingcat') the other BAME for their company's part in 'Our Shameful Past' when they got compensation for giving up the right to own slaves. Also the Govt has declined to pay 500,000 Rastafarians the sum £72.6 billion to help them resettle in Africa, where on earth do these people think they are going..... Paradise, what makes them think that Africa would want them anyway, however maybe that it could have been £72.6 billion well spent, anyway either way it will not affect shampoo sales.

Ivan, will all the black scholars who benefitted from Rhodes scholarship hand the tainted money back.
    Answers on a pinhead.
Wasn't Liberia setup as a state where discontented blacks could return to Africa, not many returned.
