I doubt the press have steered to far from the Lord Kerslake report on this today?

Rob at most disaster scenarios the press are out for eye catching headlines and are not too concerned about the truth. They trample over people as though they don’t exist. They should be kept at bay the same as the general public, and only print the official statements as put out by the people in control , and not unqualified and wishful bad guesses. JS

Truthful news would be a good start without letting you put reporters imagination run wild . Followed by the editor looking for the most sensational headlines that they can think of . The problem is if they don't know they like to make it up

Journalists telling the truth, you must be joking!!!!!

With any emergency situation it is up to the relevant bodies to make the call on how it should be handled.
I have not heard of this one so cannot comment, but if your Firies are like ours they will do a good job but always have some senior officer at the scene to direct procedure.

Just to show how bad some journalists can be, when the cricket scandal broke one reporter wrote that the coach was involved.
Not in any way the truth but what the hell.
But all the other journalists of other papers not wanting to be left behind also wrote a similar story.
