It's the same for all parties and for all politicians and certainly for all of my lifetime I remember in the 1960s when Richard Crossman was the last member of the government cabinet to move into property over £100,000 in 1965 you could buy a two up two down in South Shields for about £600 and it 3 bed semi-detached was £2,000 so when you consider that everybody in the cabinet in 1966 have a house worth 50 times the average man's property he told you' an awful lot about politicians . Regardless of party and in fact you can look at groups of people like union leaders they all seem to have acquired wealth way beyond anything they've ever earned makes you wonder why

Rob I told you north of the river was the posh end of the Tyne. I bought my first 2 up 2 down in 1962 for 2450 pounds., that was 240 pounds deposit and a 40 year mortgage round your neck. We even had an inside toilet and bathroom. Cheers Baron Rothschild alias JWS.

Cappy correction Tony Blair's government won with a landslide victory due to the disgruntled Tory Voters voting for him because they had had enough of Maggie and Major.
