Closed Thread.
I was going to post this on what has become a closed thread,I don't know why.Anyway a few years ago in Liverpool we had these Wine'os and Plonkeys drinking on the street, always sitting on the steps of buildings, they were a blot on the lands scape of Liverpool City Centre.anyway the council decided if these people like to drink el-fresco we will make a designated area for them and they can drink there and blow their heads off as long as they are off the streets and out of view of the people.Anyway today I went into Liverpool for my usual couple of pints and a bit of music.Usually when I come home I am telling my wife about all these people on every corner in sleeping bags or duvets and saying in my mind the fire brigade should be employed to hose the places down where these people are.I usually see three of these people from the train to my first pub today I didn't see one but blow me I'm in the pub and a guy came in and asked me if I had a spare 30 pence, maybe they have given up laying in the cold all day and attacking people in the pub. What I did think of today if they did it with the plonkeys giving them a designated area why can they not say to all these people laying around the city if you like to sleep el-fresco well this is where you do it,in future we will move you off the street.
Regards.

Re: Closed Thread.
Jim I think that's a brilliant idea and then closed area somewhere with a roof on and then enclosed . In recent times there was a ex-servicemen sleeping in a Debenhams doorway and the security hose down him all his bedding and everything and Debenhams took a real hammering for it . As you say the biggest problem is the substance abuse the regular shelters will not take them in and they take the substances that dumbed their brains down . I get the impression that the local councils don't like it but don't want to do anything about it . There are plenty of empty shops and warehouses it's a shame they couldn't just use one of them

Re: Closed Thread.
Why not clear the streets of the Dealers , get them off ,prosecute them put them away for years, no dealers , no drugs, they are too soft,
I know people who have been on drugs, they have been to Rehab, that costs £8,000 for four weeks , and then the dealers are waiting for them to come back and start again, The Dealers are not going to lose a customer.
Got to be tough with these animals. [sorry animals]

Re: Closed Thread.
You will never get rid of the drug culture now it is here to stay and sadly it will only grow. Possibly one way to get rid(reduce there numbers) of drug dealers is to legalise drugs. Users will always find away to obtain them. They have to pay for them so why not go to a DRUG store !!!! At least they will be getting clean drugs if there is such a thing. Tax what they buy and when they require treatment the tax paid on the drug purchases will help subsidise the costs of said treatment.
I know I can hear the howls of are you fecking mad. !!!!
Tax earned from drug sales funds building rehab centres and treatment centres. Also anyone who slips into a coma due to addiction gets a ticket slapped on there fore head/above there beds do not resuscitate
Harsh, I know but it happens in hospitals everyday, to terminally ill people, do not resuscitate.
Look at the Tax on Tobacco & Alcohol. Both these are and for some become highly addictive so drug abuse really is only an extension of these.
At least if drug users know they can get drugs from a legal source/outlet and counseling , it may just help save some ones life and hopefully turn there lives around.

Re: Closed Thread.
To legalise drugs I think is insanity I much prefer the attitude in Malaysia and Singapore where the sign at the airport says we terminate drug smugglers . By legalising heroin and cocaine it isn't going to switch off the international drug dealers all you gotta do is cause more misery . I have seen on a nearby large Estate junkies on smack they're the ones that will steal and sell anything they can get their hands on and they are so out of this world even when they're not on the drugs . I have seen too many young people commit suicide because of the psychosis that has been related to cannabis smoking people can argue forever that they were probably bipolar before they started smoking cannabis but I go for the argument that they were probably smoking cannabis that cause the bipolar the depression at the low point of bipolar cause of suicidal Tendencies and if the drugs illegal then it isn't going to stop the psychosis and be like nipping out for 20 woodbines . I know it's not a wonderful idea but I would napalm the cocaine bushes and the poppy fields . The drug taking here is directly related to the petty theft the odd bicycle that goes missing the break ins while the wife's on the school run and the Misery that you see on the streets which bit of legalize it is going to get rid of that

Re: Closed Thread.
Here in Melbourne we now have a legal Cannabis growth industry where it is grown to produce Cannabis oil as a medical component.
But there is a push for legalized drug injecting rooms as they now have in Sydney.
Our state gov is against the concept but has agreed to a trial in one of the highest drug taking parts of the city.
Last week at the servo I was approached by a guy who asked for 20 cents so he could pay for his fuel.
He did not have enough in his bank account and had put too much in the tank.
Having to survive in such a manner makes one wonder just where society is headed?

Re: Closed Thread.
legalise and taxing drugs will never stop the dealers l just be priced slightly under the legal stuff . the prostitution and theft will still go on to pay for drugs or should we increase the benefit to cover it . legalisation will fiix nothing
