Cappy, I have been off the forum for a few days busy with other things, As for not commenting on politics You started the thread not me.

{which of course is what happens after we leave our other 27 members to there fate} If we would have left them to there own fate during the last war, There wouldn't be 27 of them with there own identity. Regards Terry.

Like it or not, talk about it or not the fact is our daily lives are affected by politics and politicians every day.
It is somethin we can do nothing about.
We may vote them out until next time, then we vote the other lot out.
What changes, very little, the same blame game goes on, the same lies are trotted out, the same social engineering goes on and Joe Public has to cop it sweet.

So suck it up lads because it 'aint gonna change!!

On 2nd March 1585 spy and double agent William Parry was executed on the discovery of his plot to kill Queen Elizabeth l. This became known as 'The Parry Plot'.

Parry, from Northop, Flintshire, left for London to seek his fortune. Shortly after entering the Queen's service, he found himself in financial difficulties and had to rely on a royal pardon to escape a death sentence for assaulting one of his creditors.

Parry then received a commission from Lord Burghley to spy on Catholics in Europe, but soon became a double agent for both Queen Elizabeth and Mary Queen of Scots. When he was heard to boast that he would assassinate Elizabeth if he had the opportunity, it was not known whether he was acting on behalf of Mary, with a papal blessing, or whether he was just trying to infiltrate papist circles. However, when Elizabeth was informed of the plot, Parry was arrested for treason and hanged at Westminster.

1749, Lord Lovat a Scottish lord was found guilty of treason against the crown and sentenced to execution on Tower Hill by axe.

On the day thousands turned up to watch the spectacle and many were seated on wooden seating much of which was at a higher level than the land.
Just before his time he examined the axe telling the executioner, 'that will do the job'.

As he was being prepared some of the seating collapsed due to sheer weight of numbers.
Lovat obviously thought it comical as many were killed in the crush, he began to laugh and was still laughing when the axe fell.

So when you hear someone say, 'he laughed his head off', you will know w here that saying originated.
