    And today they whinge, Brian great posts on this thread !!! always a Barb ?? why?
    ;;
    ;;
    Because today, some people or politicians want everything NOW. and if they don't get it they complain ,
    We didn't complain in the pre NHS days because we didn't know any difference. We just thought that was normal.

    so I changed the word

    I cannot see neighbours today doing that.
    Another thing then, was we had no phones, or car, so in emergency or accident could not phone for an ambulance.
    My 8 years old cousin Richard, fell on a spike in the garden in 1942, he was bleeding from a severed artery. my Aunty Elsie had to carry him for over a mile to the hospital, but too late, he bled to death. she walked home alone.

    and today they Whinge.
    Hi Brian that is truly a tragic story, if these events were not spoken of a lot of people would be unaware of how hard our forebears lives were in those days and the , further you go back the harder life was, it did remind me of an incident at BT, I was doing pole work at the time, I heard a scream and saw a young lad of about 14 on a building site he was
    very distressed, I came down the pole to see what was wrong and saw that he had stepped on a length of 4"x2" with a 6" nail in his foot, I carried bolt cutters in my kit so I
    was able to cut the nail and free him from the timber there was nobody else around and the lad was in a lot of pain and crying he lived a bit further up the road so I carried him home told his mum and took him indoors for her, about 20 minutes later an ambulance turned up. Cheers JFC

    My sister 13 years of age died in 1943 of meningitis my mother said that the doctor often waived his fee on his visits.

    If you took that bolt Cropper to a six inch nail now and freed the lad from his agony you'd probably get sued from interfering without medical qualifications that's the problem now you can't do anything that you're not qualified to do because some nice friendly accident chasing lawyer will take a suit out against you that unfortunately is why lot of people walk by on the other side

    The problems described are not peculiar to UK, similar ones exist here in Oz but on a much smaller scale.

    We have not only feral gov control, but state as well. Each blames the other for the problems within.

    But unlike UK we do not have the number of illegals and other style refugees who must between them put enormous pressure on the system.
    Happy daze John in Oz.
