UKs Armed Forces.
Should this concern us Brits................ You bet it should.
Army numbers have fallen from 102,000 to just below 80,000 – the fewest since the 1850s. The RAF and Royal Navy have also been slashed. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politi...-huge-10376621

wewll ted perhaps with the killing power of the british squaddie ...the airforce and navy plus the drone warefare which is taking out the bad guys every day its enough and we can sit back and let these other buggers ..ie the frogs krauts ieties spanish and all the other euro folk get there asses into gear ....if it was a case of thousands of guys facing each other with axes swords and dens tabnabs ...ok we might need a few more ....but my view is we can hold back anyone as long as we have the capability to go nuclear ....but of course mr corblimy will dump that ...regards cappy

Rob has it in one Cappy for the last 15 years our squaddies have been trained in desert and close combat. Iraq, Afghanistan, Desert warfare they are not prepared or have the capability of defending an attack on this country, Britannia dont rule the waves anymore, The money it better used on paying big bucks to the likes of the top brass of the companies like Carillon, Bless them Capitalists where would we be without them.

Re: UKs Armed Forces.
jeez ted your are yawing a bit there arnt you .....let the other buggers do a bit is what i said .....as for our squaddies defending this country here ...by the time it came to that ,,it would be too late ....we constantly get involved elsewhere .....let them get on with it i say .....as for navies shortage ...when hoo flung dung can hit the uk with a missile what is our squaddie gonna do ...catch it in a basket for it hits the round ...lol we need to stop policing the world pull in our horns and keep our fngers on the button ...as for carrillion.that is a proper mess but ....we were there customers if we had not tried to give them support....the shout would have been the government let them down ....companies large and small will always go bust.....mainly from small companies overall but recently the austin reeds of the clothing world go down in the last ten years of my factory our bad debt average was 16000 per year...that was goods my people had made and been paid for.... the true loser was me ...believe me ted running a businnes you need balls of steel as usually the bank has all of your assets house etc as well in there hand . but then i transgress.....hope your pension fund wasnt in some shares of carrilion ...if it was well you would have had good years but nothing lasts forever

Re: UKs Armed Forces.
France's Military Is All Over Africa The RAF are being trained by French navy on there carriers.
french%20charles%20de%20gaulle%20aircraft%20carrier.jpg
But the Germans are or were not allowed combat rolls after WW2. The Dutch certainly have Troops and Naval resources in various conflict zones around the world. Did you ever notice that the casualty figures in Afghanistan you only ever heard about American & British losses. All EU countries + Canada & Australia lost men in that shi-hole. We are only told what Britain's forces are up to. Other nations are perhaps not equally involved but they are not all sitting at home doing nothing.

Re: UKs Armed Forces.
Very true Lewis, BUT, the plans for the future EU is a federal army, great for them as long as we are not involved, because it would follow the same lines as the EU contributions, ie contribute twice as much as france, twice as much as the Netherlands. No thank you, let them continue with open borders, and sort it with their federal forces, just my take on it, only in a friendly argument, kt
