do the police have a right to reveal infomation
listening to the news all day , Damian Green has been accused of looking at porn when in opposition 9 years ago , and although nothing illegal an ex policeman has for whatever reason decided that Former DC can tell the World ,
Should we be told this in the public interest , or should this policeman have retained the confidentiality . Green has not broken the law the policeman might have unless it was revealed in the public good

Re: do the police have a right to reveal infomation
I find it amazing that the Cop decided now to reveal the information, why not then?
What is he after?
Unless it relates to a criminal case, any info obtained should remain in private.

Re: do the police have a right to reveal infomation
the Police are not delving at all , it was nine years ago , and nothing illegal was found
Green could be in trouble for lying , bu t not for legal porn

Re: do the police have a right to reveal infomation
as green categorically denies it , it becomes an allegation , not automatically the truth , by reitterating it as true you could be perpetuating a libel

Re: do the police have a right to reveal infomation
When we became part of the MOJ we were tied into the Government Computer network. The system was monitored and recorded any sites visited. It also flagged up if you visited any pornographic sites. Our security manager was caught out visiting such sites and the monitoring system caught him out.
So I find it strange that the Detective has recorded these allegations.
