I do think Keith should take something for his reflux, so many repeats of the same thing.

Ref. Back to the submarine. Been trying to catch up with the media news about it which there seems to be a distinct lack of, anything of any sense that is. Would of thought the non release of d/f beacons from the sub itself shows they are that disabled and unable to do so so. Does show a lot of forebodings to the outcome. Think today there is enough ways to make known their position if desirous. If hopefully she is discovered intact, there is a reason for her silence. She could at the very least make noise on her underwater phones. JWS

It does seem very strange that the Argentine Naval Authorities have no idea of where she is, surely her commander was not given free will to roam the ocean without specific instructions from his superiors, who in all probability were receiving coded messages of his position on a daily basis and therefore could work out his probable course and distance from his last known position and presumably would also have copies of his secret orders as to operating areas if he was told not transmit his position daily.

There was an ex submariner on the news yesterday who said they are all trained regardless of whatever modern equipment is on board, distress beacons etc to bang on the hull with spanners, pots, hammers on the hour and half past every hour as long as they are physically able to, as modern listening devices would pick up these signals well in excess of 100 miles.

So it may appear that alas something catastrophic may have occured, let us hope not and that they will have some luck in being found and that the delay in reporting her missing was not some political decision as in the 'Kursk'

The only good result could be that she was on clandestine duties around the Falklands and under radio and satellite non reporting. That’s no big deal and never has been because any naval force of whatever country does it. The silence from the Argentine Naval authorities shows nothing as of now to journalists. Maybe they are taking Trumps dislike of same. Thy will make statements when it suits them no doubt. Cheers JWS
