    Default Hospital

I was discharged , with two VG's , from hospital yesterday after a four day stay for a minor operation.
The nurses are as wonderful as ever although it is clear to see how overstretched they are. This is dangerous for some patients as they were becoming forgetful when treating them. With buzzers going off all night and people needing their attention they are in constant demand , I don't know how they remain so cheerful and calm.
I woke up this morning after ten hours deep sleep , it is impossible to sleep on a ward because of all the activity.
So just a special thanks to all the hospital doctors and nurses who try their very best to care for us.

Eh Rob, 12 weeks! I expect you can not only say 'bed pan' in all those various tongues but in the numerous dialects as well.

You're obviously in good care and that's good, Rob. My old backbone is wearing and pregabalin (Lyrica) has been suggested but I don't like the look of the side effects. Not a real problem yet so let well enough alone.

From my experience in hospitals all the staff, nurses, doctors, cleaners, even the lady with the tea and coffee trolley do their very best to ensure your stay takes good care of you.

Yes they are often stretched to the limit to meet patients demands, but have always seen them do it with a smile.

We now have an add running on the radio here, put out by the Ambos telling people they are not there to deal minor issues like a small cut but for the big problems such as heart attack. If you have a small cut go see you GP!!
    Happy daze John in Oz.

I was in Stoke Manderville in 2015, Top notch, best ever.

The food is great, bought in and micro waved, portion size were small for me, suited most.

Ambulance took about about 5 mins with all the early checks, I lived around the corner.
