Re: 'Stupid Trump'
Myself I only know what the newspapers print. as most things they print if have any modicum of truth is usually exaggerated to the full. So can say only what I occassionly read that is the impression that is put to air. Also that US troops were to be stationed up north in the Darwin area, that has gone into silence the last few months. You believe out here the same as everywhere else what you want to believe. There is always this tendency though to try to employ cheaper foreign labour to appease big business, is usually only the diminishing union power in the past has stopped, when they totally disappear that will give any government a clear run to do what they want. Whether one thinks that is good or bad depends on the individual and his position in life, but what I have personally seen in my own life is not a good thing. JS

Re: 'Stupid Trump'
K at T, the Queen has nothing to do with who visits the UK on an official visit, it is organized by the Public Service.
As to our PM, who paid $1.75 mil into the Liberal party funds at the last erection here.
Nothing wrong in that and he has come out with the figure before it is made public next year.
But unlike the unions who support the Labor party the money was his earned by him and after tax. Not like the Union money which is the subs from members.
One must recall the MP ex union leader, and the female ex Union boss both found guilty of using Union funds, monies from members of that union, for personal gain.
The politics of envy is paramount here in Oz where the Labor party wants equality for all, but that can only be found at the lowest common denominator.
Since Menzies there has only been one PM who looked anything like a statesman and who took some tough decisions in the best interest of the nation. J. Howard was unelected by the Rudd gov who without any compunction rooted this nation sideways, and he and his wife between them had as much, or maybe even more than the current PM. But he did not put one cent of his onw money into any election, or the nation for that matter.
To say that by putting the money in the PM bought the election is an affront to the intelligence of the people.

Article 11, section 1 "The executive power shall be invested in a president of the U.S.A.."
Article 11, section 3 "The president shall take care that the law be faithfully executed."
An executive (presidential) order can be thrown out. once it has risen through the judicial system, by the Supreme Court if it is judged unconstitutional. In extreme cases the congress can pass a law that the order is unconstitutional and cancel or amend same. The president can cancel or amend his own Order. The next president can also cancel or amend his/her predecessors order.
I hope this helps.
Hi Rodders, yes very informative.
But as I read it Trump wants, as we have done here, to toughen up immigration laws and make sure who is coming into the country.
He may not be going about it in the best manner but if the laws are toughened then nothing wrong has occurred.
We had problems here with people coming by boat, no papers or identity and we took them in. That has now stopped but we still take immigrants and refuges but first vet them.
EU is a mess as a result of millions of illegals and so called refugees entering.
As to the 'Wall' it does not have to be bricks and mortar it could be razor wire, or as you say drones, additional guards etc.

Re: 'Stupid Trump'
John, as far as the alternative petition is concerned, it does not exist according to the BBC, didn't mention it on the news as I predicted.
According to pollsters49% want Trump to have a state visit, and only 33% against.

[QUOTE=happy daze john in oz;252612]K at T, the Queen has nothing to do with who visits the UK on an official visit, it is organized by the Public Service.
QUOTE]
While the invitation does say that Her Majesty has invited the President and First Lady, it is only made in her name as the government is formed on her behalf. The government would have to cancel the trip. Although, The Queen could refuse to meet with him during his time in the United Kingdom.
This is no longer a political matter but a matter of human decency to the very core. Queen Elizabeth is Patron of around 600 organisations that represent people of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds and she could stand up for those people by not giving power to the man trying to take away human rights.
The Queen should not be obliged to meet with him at all. The Queen should stand up for what is right and not for what has been done by Monarchs in the past.
Buckingham Palace express concern that The Queen is being dragged into the Trump State Visit row.
According to The Times, the Palace are unhappy that Her Majesty has been put into a politically explosive situation following the heavy controversy that has arisen.
Downing Street has now said a state visit by Donald Trump is 'months away' after a warning it could be difficult for the Queen.
Downing Street has insisted, after concerns the trip could leave the Queen mired in "political controversy".
A Downing Street statement on Monday made clear the Prime Minister looked forward to welcoming Mr Trump "this year".
However, a spokesman for Mrs May said on Tuesday that a state visit was "months away".
The ultimate decision is in the Hands of HRH.
SHE IS NOT AMUSED.

Re: 'Stupid Trump'
Keith Trump is not against Human Rights, just a certain kind of immigrant.
You all seem to Forget, Hundreds killed by moo slim Immigrants/Refugees in Nice , Paris, Brussels, Berlin in the last few months. He is thinking of the Human Rights of Americans who do not want Killer Fanatics being allowed into his country.
In UK our own Terror alert is in the highest state, due to a certain type of immigrant, we should do the same here.
After all we did not invite the Waffen SS to come and settle in UK in 1942. or any Japanese Banzais.
