Re: electricity
Hi Cappy, I had the same problem, but I switched both gas and electric to OVO, my monthly payments came down immediately and by a. Goodly amount, also they pay 3 percent on any amount you have in credit, that's as good as anything I can get on my investments at the moment. Might be worth a look see, and 25 £ for new customers, kt

Re: electricity
Cappy had another 6 solar panels put up a few months ago and the last 2 monthly bill was in credit usually was about 140 dollars with 6 panels. However since than have had everything going when necessary air conditioning extra beer fridges etc etc, so waiting to see what the next one is. Temperature yesterday was 41 degrees, today only 27 degrees so the A/C gets a respite. Make about 12 kilowatts a day. Today only 7.5 kilowatts it being cloudy. The gas bill is the killer as heats the hot water and cooking by gas, next time have to renew the gas heater will get a solar one, am sure the roof can bear it. Anyhow being an Englishman only get a shower when I need it, not like these Aussies who get showered 3 times a day. Cheers JS

Re: electricity
Re nationalize all the utility companies which are now in foreign hands , essentials of life. Plough profits back into the services not into the pockets of shareholders.
Railways taken back into public ownership to provide clean , modern trains with affordable ticket prices.

Re: electricity
If you try something over and over again and it still does not work what do you do ?
Answer; Try to convince the public that it is actually working while they are paying an exorbitant amount for a third rate service which is getting worse.
Privatisation has been a total failure , paying more while receiving less.

Re: electricity
Instead of making schoolboy comments address the issues your post started.
The big five utility companies are running a cartel charging maximum prices and making maximum profits for themselves and shareholders.
Rail passengers are squeezed like sardines onto dirty unreliable trains. In the event of a rail accident or sudden stop all the standing passengers would be flung about the carriage or through the windows. Rail fares are one of the highest in Europe with profits paid to the franchise holders and shareholders not reinvested into a safe modern rail system.
