Re: Bill Clinton campaigning for Trump!
Marion. We Canadians can live with an influx's of Americans.
Its not new to us.
We experienced it during the Viet Nam war.
Our sissy Prez will let anyone in.
Although he may not notice, as he will be too busy kissing Trumps rear end.
He is good at that. So far his only claim to fame it that he was the first PM of Canada[possibly the world] to have lead the guy pride parade.
Great credentials!
I think Trump will bring a breath of fresh air to the US.
As a mater of interest.
Traditionally the new president of the US make his first out of country visit to Canada.
Have a feeling Trump may change that and either go to the UK or maybe even Russia.
Any guesses?

Re: Bill Clinton campaigning for Trump!
#32, Dennis, as you probably know, in Ontario our liberal leader is gay and attends the pride parade with her girlfriend, so does the mayor of Toronto who is not gay. The last mayor, Rob Ford, had his problems with the drink and drugs, but always put family first and took off to his summer cottage during the gay pride parade. did this every year he was in office, sort of let you know how he felt about the issue of gay rights.
regards, stan

Re: Bill Clinton campaigning for Trump!
Hi All.
The pundits, so called journalists, news outlets, media, all got it wrong and by a big margin, I always gave him a chance as after eight years of Obama the country hadn't moved unless it was too wars. I hope that Trump will get on with Putin and come to some agreement that will prevent more bloodshed, else we are heading for the cup final. As Rod said politics these days have gone up the proverbial, opposition to anything even if it benefits the people, started here in earnest when Abbot lost to a woman and has carried on since .
I just hope the this will be a renewal of America for the peoples . We can all dream.
Cheers Des

Re: Bill Clinton campaigning for Trump!
#31 Marion that about sums up the Press. Its either sarcastic, ill informed, or more outrageous than any statement made by Trump. It about lines up with one of their bold statements they made a headline out of about me when they said Skipper did not check ship before it sailed. They are an ill informed at the best of times, try to get people to swing to their own political way of thinking, and any statements they make should add the rider that is their own personal opinion only. As said I am pleased Trump got in, and beat the pundits at their own game, and as a politician he is an amateur and still beat them. The American people aren't fools and think they have chosen the better of the two candidates. The days of the media being able to hypnotise the people into their own beliefs and wishes, are fastly drawing to a close. Also those in power are more and more being brought to account for their actions. The ones who decry Trump are the ones who cant compete with him on a level playing field, and they will just have to sit back and find their own level the same as water. Cheers JS

Re: Bill Clinton campaigning for Trump!
The burning question, did they vote for Trump or against Clinton?
Clinton got more votes but not enough electoral college ones.
One of our polis, an ex PM said that it is time polis listened to the middle ground persons.
The talk that Trump did during the elction campaign was classic election rhetoric, tell the people what they want to hear, not what you may eventually do when in office.
Trump will be controlled by congress and the senate as to what he can do. Issues such as putting a tariff on China will not occur as it may damage business relations between the two.
Remember even in the senate some republican senators will vote against the party, many represent states where there is a heavy democrat representation.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Bill Clinton campaigning for Trump!
The strife and innuendos brought up about his sexual appetites and such like and about demeaning women are what they are political mud slinging. He is no more anti woman than most men, who I have yet to see, apart from the gay set. I certainly hope he carries out one of his threats and publicly goes after them and charge them with fraudently trying to character assassinate him for political reasons. As am not party political orientated the speech given by Malcolm Turnbull today in the Houses of Parliament in Canberra were far and way above the scanty and tawdry as those given by the leader of the Labour party, he lets himself and his party down every time he opens his gob now, and proves he will never be a statesman. I think they are due for a new leader. JS
