Re: The exit debate on tv
I wonder how many can cast a vote in the referendum in Gibraltar, they are definitely going to vote Remain as they are afraid Spain will close the border if Brexit wins.
Scotland and Northern Ireland will also vote remain so they could just tip it in Remains favour.Maybe we should just have a referendum for England and Wales.
Regards.

Re: The exit debate on tv
I have just wrote on Corbyns Face book..........
.
Mr Corbyn
You claim to want to protect workers rights by staying in Europe.
In France EU, the workers have been protesting, getting tear gassed and water cannoned and Police Violence for six weeks trying to get Workers Rights, You want us to join them????
Where are their Rights in EU.
What happened to 200,000 Seafarers jobs in the Merchant Navy and our Fishing Fleets. All taken by Europeans thats what.
I spent 45 years in the Merchant Navy going into Three Wars for the UK , carrying British Exports world wide and to our British Commonwealth, a Market of over TWO BILLION People not the 500 million in europe.
When we joined the European Union they stopped us from Trading and then they do the Trading with their exports, The BIGGEST CON in History and all our stupid politicians failed to notice.
and 200,000 men lost their jobs, our British Merchant Navy that had 52% of all the worlds Merchant ships were lost and now stands at 0.8% all gone. This was the Merchant Navy that saved Britain in WW2 at a cost of 40,000 British Seamen killed by the French, Italians and Germans.
The French killed many many British Seamen in their PoW camps in West Africa in terrible conditions and marched many through the Jungles and swamps and then across the Desert to Timbuctoo where they were killed by the French, Their Graves are now tended by the CWGC.
After the War France paid a large sum of money to the Labour Government for the Widows and Orphans of the Dead British Seamen.
The Labour Government Confiscated all the money. Widows and Orphans did Not get one penny. What happened to all that money Mr Corbyn.???? I have asked you this before and you have Never answered. A Shameful Episode in the Labour Party.
So you and your cohorts want us to join up to the EU and then turn Great Britain into a small province of a Greater German Controlled Europe.
Merkel has achieved what Hitler and Kaiser Bill failed to achieve without firing one bullet. and all the Suckers in Britain are falling for it.
Be a man Mr Corbyn , get us OUT asap.

Re: The exit debate on tv
Who said?
"The whole basis of the Maastricht Treaty is the establishment of a Central Bank, which is staffed by Bankers, Independent of national Governments and national economic policies, and whose sole policy is the maintenance of price stability. That will undermine any social objective that any Labour government in the United Kingdom-or any other government would wish to carry out
Jeremy Corbyn 1993
The European Economic Community, which does not include the whole of Western Europe, was never devised to suit us.

Yes must have been a poll then amongst Brexiteers, because there's no way Peston would know otherwise!
Needless to say I sent in my postal vote to Leave last week.

Yes, I received this too. At least they've admitted they give money to the Palestine Authority who then give it to terrorists. I don't think much headway was made otherwise - just an expensive talking shop.

Nice to see that everyone thinks the same as me. Just one thought, I speak to a lot of young people and many of them are voting to remain - that's if they bother to turn up on the day. I've advised my daughter to hide or destroy my grand-daughters polling card as we think she may vote to remain otherwise. There's more than one way to skin a cat.

Re: The exit debate on tv
Like many of us here in the UK I have just watched another Question Time EU Referendum programme. With a week to go tomorrow,it's really hotting up.The audience from Nottingham seemed fairly well split, and I thought Michael Gove ,the Conservative Vote Leave campaigner acquitted himself quite well.
At the end of the programme David Dimbleby reminded us there would be another debate on Sunday with David Cameron, and another one with Nigel Farage against..... wait for it ♫ Ta Da ♫......Bob Geldof !.Well, for me ,just like with Eddie Izzard, that was a real "Oh my God !" moment, and if I were a teenager I'd now be frantically texting the whole world with multiple OMG's !
I feel that by having such characters like Eddie Izzard and Bob Geldof will actually do we Brexiteers a lot more good than they would for the Remain camp that they support!
Perhaps the Remain camp could also help to seal our Brexit victory by also recruiting Coco the Clown ! clap hands.gif

Re: The exit debate on tv
That is the same Bob Geldoff who is a citizen of the Irish Republic, he has No right to be interviewed for this Referendum. The Irish are the same as Germans, French Italians etc in Europe he is Not British so should keep out of it.
He is a complete Non-entity. I could have been interviewed instead.
He said a few months ago when all the Invaders were pouring into Europe that his home was So BiG that he will take in Three Syrian Families and in his other spare house he could take in another family. I wonder if he has?
This was a man who was at the end of his "musical" career and was almost broke. Then the Band Aid started in 1984 and he suddenly becomes a Multi millionaire. Magic.
So who is the IDIOT who has invited him to comment on remaining.?

He is the idiot who did nearly single handedly more damage in Ethiopia and Sudan than the warring factions within it, believe me I know I spent many years on food and fertiliser relief under the USA PL480 Aid Relief Program and the World Food Programme. His irresponsible actions reduced funds for actual products and increased expenses on non productive freight and handling costs. It's a long story and I have referred to it before in previous posts. However I can see the Govts reason for bringing him in, because he was able to persuade people to part with millions of their hard earned cash they calculate that he will be able to persuade the young to remain, an underhand undertaking, the young will not care whether or not he is Irish because he will be introduced as 'Sir Bob Geldorf, even though it is only an honarary title. We are ruled by cynical deceivers

Re: The exit debate on tv
Ivan surely those in charge of the Brexit campaign should be made aware of what you have posted above and I have no doubt as to what you have posted is true. As I have publicly said on this site I have voted to leave and the last thing I want to see is some arsehole like Geldoff telling me that we should remain in, or more importantly, convincing young kids that we should remain in. I think Farage and Gove should be made aware of what Geldoff did in Ethiopia and Sudan.
