Re: Freedom of expression
There is a very fine line between free speech and what can be put non site without causing problems for Brian. We must never allow free speech to be compromised, but at the same time we have a duty of care as members not to cause problems. Threads of a nature that my cause problems should be in 'scutlebut' where the general public do not access to that would save Vernon a lot of grief whilst still allowing freedom of speech to be practiced.

I'd like to be there to watch. I'd even give you a free candle with which to defend yourself.
#####well braid such indignation about so little .....sadly my game is not football but rugby .....my family play rugby ........mainly big men in body and spirit ....but when the referee says go they go ....they dont rattle on or jump up and down like herrings on the griddle.....which is what you appear to be doing at the moment ......sadly life is full of rules .....and if you wish to be part of it ...you must abide .....but do rest assured i need no assistance from yourself how to defend myself......if your idea is the use of a candle .......dont go to shields ......no futher from me on this subject just play by the rules.....regards cappy

Re: Freedom of expression
Re Number 25.
A Bonnie soldier was our Braid,
Once he was arrested for something he said,
Freedom of Expression was the reason he'd to report
next day, to be charged by a Kangaroo Court,
The one sided hearing granted him no pity,
Alas for Braid they found him guilty,
In the guardroom the RP's took great delight,
Making him mark time in his boots shining bright.
FOURO.

'Awwww!! Now I cant take part in the site Posts or Threads> Gee whiz!'
I don't really know how to put this politely, but I'll try. Of course you can Doc. But when you do, you are then a member, not a moderator, and subject to the same rules as the rest of us. It seems pretty clear to me, but I suppose there is none so blind as he who will not see.
There is no need for you to excommunicate me, I'll go quietly. Which should make Cappy a Happy Chappy. He's been niggling me since my second week on the site. I'll leave you with one of my Singapore wife's favourite sayings "Braid, you're far too honest for your own damn good." Now I can go back to taking care of my adopted PNG kids in my known hostile and unsympathetic environment, with no featherbedding, while Cappy goes back to peeling spuds. Goodbye to the decent ones among you and God bless.

Re: Freedom of expression
one great thing about this site is the freedom of excretions in all posts we all have views to some right to some wrong? its knowing when to stop that is the main point some sites you don't even have a chance to put your views you just get the boot. I was put in a position on one site where a post was put in my name not by me then members started slagging each other and when I asked the mods would they pull the plug as I do not like the thought of members having a go at each other in my name and what happened I was rested not booted like I was rested I would not say the name of the site but I will give any member a private message and the true story so don't let someone else's ego get in the way of an excellent site every one take a deep breath and think before acting and saying something they may be sorry for later?? just my view right or wrong jp
