Re: Election
one thing we must remember they all feed from the same trough? promises are like pi..ing in the wind all parties should put their mandate in writing for the voters but like all we fall for the same old crap they spew out someone said we are heading to be a third world country we are?? food banks did anyone ever think working people would have to really on food banks not people with the latest phones and clothes getting something for nothing working people that are fighting just for an existence to keep a family together the wifes cousin runs one and the amount of genuine people the have to go there to feed their families not people with 6/7/8 kids genuine people both working paying rents heating bills electric that is well over priced people paying day care that don't want to live of the state and the daily struggle they have that is the things that should be sorted start trading with the world again stop giving millions away to richer countries than ours we all know the aid is getting slotted into other trough feeders in other lands? when any would be MPs knock on my door with a promise I always ask if you don't deliver will you resign I never get a clear answer so to me they are all tarred with the same brush so its a case of whoever you vote for they do exactly what they want not for you?? jp

Re: Election
Just got this from a mate in Queensland..................
MASS exodus of Florida
Only 49 more states to go
Hooray for Florida
Highway I-95 and I-75 will be jammed for the next month or so with druggies and deadbeats heading North out of Florida, because this is the first state in the union to require drug testing to receive welfare.....
Hooray for Florida. In signing the new law, Republican Gov. Rick Scott said, "If Floridians want welfare, they better make sure they are drug-free."
Applicants must pay for the drug test, but are reimbursed if they test drug-free. Applicants who test positive for illicit substances, won't be eligible for the funds for a year, or until they undergo treatment. Those who fail a second time will be banned from receiving funds for three years!
Naturally, a few people are crying this is unconstitutional.
How is this unconstitutional? It's a legal requirement that every person applying for a job has to pass drug tests in order to get the job, why not those who receive welfare?
Forward this if you agree!
Let's get welfare back to the ones who need it, in Australia and New Zealand and Britain not to those who won't get a job
....... I AGREE !
Cheers
Brian

Re: Election
excellent story Jim, a man of the people. who knew the people and lived amongst them
Where are those men today, ?
Take my Labour MP, [ please].
She is a Pakistani born mu sli, is a Practising Lawyer by profession and lives in Surrey, spends a lot of time in Pakistan and Saudi.
She has never ever answered one of my letters or returned my phone calls for the last five years.
So I have NO Representation in Parliament.
That is why I cannot vote Labour even if there were any decent candidates for PM .
I could only vote UKIP if there is one up for election. So what price Democracy?
Cheers
Brian

Re: Election
Many of the problems today are from the smart phone!!! This phone has made most things at finger tips with instant results. Now the people want instant results in just about every thing. The 'me, me' attitude is destroying many countries including Oz. The people want it all for free now, no responsibility and work as little as possible. Hard work never killed any one but many died from a lack of it.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Election
Brian will be in for one hell of a shock when he returns from his latest jaunt.
Tory flags flying at half mast. Prisons bursting at the seams with tax avoiders, hedge fund managers and bent bankers. The House of Lords consigned to the history books. Arther Scargill declared a saint by the Pope.
Things can only get better.
