. I will certainly enjoy the trip,
We call at an Island in the Tabuaeran. where the people there must be the Poorest in the whole world,
They have NOTHING, No electricity, so no TV, Mobiles, Ipads, Computers, lights etc, No Fresh Water, so No taps, No Toilets, No bathrooms, etc. No Shops, No transport , No hosptals, a missionary Nurse in there just for First Aid, Just NOTHING. a Crap? they just walk into the Lagoon and dump there. So for us No Swimming.
Their homes are just a wood platform, Palm fronds for a roof and a rattan mat that rolls down at night as a wall, No furniture, The Home usually blows away in the rainy season. so they build another one.
The ship usually leaves them half a dozen plastic water Barrels to collect rain water to drink. and some cases of food to keep them going. Because of their very poor diet all the kids have brown or black teeth and by the time they are in late teens or twenties their teeth fall out. No Calcium in their diet as there is No Milk..
If no water they drink Coconut milk, for food they only have Coconuts and fish, there are a few suckling pigs tied up to trees I have been there twice before.
The People are very happy to see us, They sing and dance, and not complain of their situation, some of our people should go there and see those people who really have Nothing. Money is No use to them as there is no where to spend it.
We are taking a case of childrens clothing with us, shorts, Tee shirts and girls dresses, pencils and writing paper etc.
When we leave we feel very humble that these Cheerful people who have NOTHING ARE SO HAPPY WITH THEIR LOT.
Hope you enjoyed that story, and that is why I have no time for people who complain in Britain about food banks. It is a wonderful education to see that,
    Cheers
    Brian
I,ve heard of that island. They used to have a labour government

I'm glad you are on the winning side today cappy enjoy it for all it's worth as you will be on the loosing side come May.As it stands at the moment Ed is only one seat ahead of Dave, as the date draws nearer the gap will widen much in favour of ED. I think people who thought UKIP was the answer are now starting to change their minds and moving back to the main two Labour being their first preference.Did you know that there are over one million people over 50 who are out of work, many of these lost their jobs through the cut backs in the public sector,do you think they will vote for Dave and his side kick George.

    Wow. !
I cannot believe what I read there Jim
Surely Liverpool people are not killing themselves because of wealth inequality Never heard of such a thing.

Also I do not think a Cathedral is the place to do a protest in. Been in there many times, It is a magnificent Cathedral and a house of God, not a platform for left wing trendies to ponce about in.

There is no such thing as Wealth inequality.

If I gave 100 people One Million Pounds each and said come back to me in two years time.
Some of them will have Five million pounds, invested wisely.
Some will have about the same, having a good time living off the interest,
Others will be Broke, having blown it all on booze, fags, in the bookies or at the races, or in a Casino chasing an impossible dream and then ending up going to Benidorm,
    .
Then the people with nowt left will be saying, "Why have those people with Five million pounds got more than me?
Are they Toffs or something , it is wrong they have more than me." Everyone had the same chance.
    .
When I got a big Redundency payment I invested it wisely taking good Advice from ESSOs Financial Advisors, that is why I am comfortable. I still have more money than what ESSO gave me,. I know a few lads who blew the lot and now have nothing, They are now envious of me and the other lads who made it pay, the choice was theirs.
We all had the same chance and now they are like the people in the Cathedral whinging about inequality.

So Jim, I can never feel sorry for people who want everything everyone else has got but does Not want to do anything about it. Every man is in charge of his own Destiny.
    .
. I have been a Labour man most of my life, I have Marched through Liverpool, I was on TV shown Carrying the banner in the Seamens Strikes, I was a strong Union man ,
Then one day I thought about it , While I was on strike, No money, No benefits in those days for Strikers, , the Union Delegates were on Salaries and driving around in Union paid for Cars and expense accounts, Living in Union paid for houses..
I figured out , who were the Gangsters. I got wise to myself, there is only me , to look after myself, No one else ever will , so I did.
    Cheers
    Brian
