This year as of October, 48 U.S. police officers were shot dead, and 20,000 cases of assault ON the police was reported.
42% of the police officer's killers were black. As previously reported African Americans (A-A) are 14% of the U.S. population.
458 people were shot and killed by the police, 29% of those were A-A.
Officer Ramos of Queens, New York, N.Y. was buried today. The funeral of Officer Loo also of Queens is to be announced. The funeral is being delayed to allow family members in China to attend.
A national campaign to raise $900,000 to retire the mortgage on the officers' homes is already 50% subscribed.
Jet Blue Airlines is providing free transportation to the more than 25,000 police officers from around the U.S. attending today's funeral.
The New York Yankees baseball team have announced they will guarantee the cost of full education of the children of the two slain officers.

The ethnic make up of the population for these studies were white, Hispanic, black (non-Hispanic), and Asian.
The percentage were highest black, Hispanic second, white, and last Asian.

I am reporting the news as a point of interest only. I don't make news up, or make racial judgments. As Officer Joe Friday of the old TV show said "Just the facts ma'am, just the facts." My opinions on guns, the laws, or lack of, plus my opinions on race relations should be well known. If in doubt scroll down my list of posts and PLEASE don't shoot the messenger.
