The best RIVER cruise my wife and i did was the Yangzte River cruise befure they built the locks and things. Chinese ship & crew absolutely fantastic'the only other one was up the Rhine from Strasbourg, that had some great visists,including one of the best iulitary/transport museums Ive ever visited.. My wife wont go on any of these big "block of flats tpye" cruise ships guess she was spoilt when we did one of the last Atlantic crossings on the old Queen Mary,Cunard treated her like a Queen..... as did all my buddies in NY
