Re: River Cruise
Not been on one, preferr the South Pacific to anywhere else.
BUT.
I have heard from different sources that there are some pretty places on the Rhine But a lot of Industrial sites to look at, like Steel works, Chemical plants and lots of industry. Because it is handy for transporting the goods down to the ocean goung ports like Rotterdam
Also a while since , a few months ago, after lots of rain many of them were stuck between bridges when the water levels rose.So they were going no where.I also think it is cheaper to go to the South Pacific.
I have just come back half an hour ago from the travel agent. booked my next trip down the South Pacific with Holland America.
Pay your money and take your chances. What suits one does not always suit another.
I like the souith pacific, the only decent place left on the planet.
Cheers
Brian.

Re: River Cruise
Hi Graham.
My Wife went with one of my daughters on a Continental river cruise
organised by a Company named RIVER CRUISES.They left by bus from
Swansea, seemed to have pickup points every where, and it took them
almost ten hours to get to the continent, had an horrendous time, but
once the got onto the cruise ship, fantastic. So if you live nearer to Dover
it will not be so bad ,
Dave Williams.
PS They went on a Xmas Market shopping trip, but out of the four markets
they went to,two had not opened.

Re: River Cruise
River Cruises I think that hiring a canal boat in England is one of the best holidays that I have had many years ago you can virtually go anywhere on the canal system and I just love those country pubs and there is some lovely country side to see

Re: River Cruise
We shall expect a full written report upon your return, otherwise you will have to stand in a corner and repeat the morse code two thousand times and if that doesn't make you behave yourself, nothing will! Enjoy
