On a vacation in Spain, a guy goes to a bullfight. He sees the bull get killed. Afterwards he's looking for somewhere to eat and he comes across a restaurant near the bullring. He goes in and takes a seat. He can't understand anything on the menu, so he just orders the special of the day. The waiter brings out a bowl of broth in which float two large balls."What are these?" asks the guy. The waiter explains it's the balls of the bull that was killed in ring that day. The guy's adventurous, so he takes a bite, decides it's delicious and finishes it off.
The next day he's sightseeing but he can't resist going back to the restaurant and ordering "Bullfight Especial". The waiter brings out a bowl, but this time the balls are much smaller. He eats them anyway, finds them delicious but asks the waiter:
"Why were these balls so much smaller than they were yesterday?"
"Well, the bull don't always lose."

The Animal Welfare issue revolves to some extent around the price at the sales , Ponies are less than £10 , because the campaigners stopped the live export trade and there is a surplus of the things , then some idiot buys one for their little Lucinda and has no clue how much they cost to feed , or the price of Haylage , bedding shavings and te vet . Hence keeping a pony on the back lawn is cruel . The Animal Rights mob ignore this . Check the wholesale prices , I did and posted then earlier , in the UK the horsemeat came from here Ireland , Latvia , Holland , Poland and the Balkans , it is 1/5th of the price of Beef . Irresponsible breeding has caused an oversupply of ponies with nowhere to go , Animal Rights campaigners stirred the problem up too . Label it properly it is cheap meat , and sell it .

At one time my stepfather was a pig breeder, not personaly you understand he just facilitated it, and all the male piglets were castrated. Eating them is like eating very light kidney, very tasty.

Well The Princess Royal has been proven correct as The number of horses put down at a site in the Vale of Glamorgan has risen from 45 to just over 100.RSPCA inspectors and council workers have screened more than 400 horses at the site in recent weeks, with more than 300 removed to a place of safety. The minister for natural resources has thanked the agencies for their work on the "deeply upsetting situation".Alun Davies AM said the RSPCA, the council, Redwings Horse Sanctuary and the police had all acted swiftly to address the animals' suffering.s this deeply upsetting situation unfolded, I have been saddened by the awful condition the horses had been left in," Mr Davies said. The organisations involved have worked together tirelessly and in particularly difficult circumstances to protect the welfare of these animals”"Difficult decisions have had to be made and, although this situation has been very distressing, the organisations involved have worked together tirelessly and in particularly difficult circumstances to protect the welfare of these animals."I am grateful to all those involved for their swift and effective action which has relieved the suffering of these horses and I would like to pay tribute to the Vale of Glamorgan council for their robust response to this emergency."The RSPCA called it a "tragic situation that was hugely upsetting for all those involved".A spokeswoman for the charity said it was an ongoing animal welfare investigation and they could not provide further information at this stage.

The Welsh government is introducing a Control of Horses (Wales) Bill which is currently going through the Senedd. The legislation is aimed at tackling illegal horse grazing, or fly-grazing.The Welsh government has said it plans to "fast track" the bill through the Senedd so local authorities have the powers as soon as possible. The changes would allow swift intervention to tackle fly grazing.Mr Davies added: "Although this particular incident was on private land I think it only emphasises the need for our proposed Control of Horses (Wales) Bill to tackle the problem of abandoned and suffering horses."Our legislation encourages more responsible horse ownership while at the same time providing local authorities with the tools they need to take swift and robust action when horses are abandoned or left on land without consent."

Well I am no tree hugger but 60 horses put down and 300 rescued from one Farm tells the story , Too many horses , no market value , and carcass disposal costs , leads to neglect . The cost of disposal of the carcass is astronomical , Let us forget feelings of horse lovers , this even if we don't eat it is good Dog Meat , we have been stopped from live export by the tree huggers , and this is the consequences , 100 dead horses , an 300 cruelly neglected

The costs here Cappy are Horse £10 - £100 to but Dog much more expensive , there is a lot of Haylage as well as Hay in this area but with your own land and loose box I would think £30 a week livery is around £60 - £90 a week . They have never been cheap to keep ,. but are cheap to buy . That is why I agree with the Princess Royal , eat the Beggers
