Armed Forces Day.
Nottingham hosted the big event in the Midlands with a host of activities held across the city.
Before the even the bomb squad was touring the city centre opening and inspecting drains then resealing them.
The major event was held on the Victoria embankment, where all three forces were represented, sadly the security (number of police) was at an extremely high level.
It is also the first time that I have seen armed (machine guns) Police at an event such as this.
Is this the future for this country?

Sadly Vic this is the future, successive politicians have allowed every terrorist group to come and live in the UK and refuse to get rid of them in case they are called rascist.
I despair for our future.
Cheers
Brian.

Liverpool, Cardiff and Plymouth:
Mentioned Liverpool, Cardiff and Plymouth at: http://www.merchant-navy.net/forum/n...er-2013-a.html Though Nottingham hosted the main event, found no mention thus far of the MN in Nottingham reports.
