I wondered if any of my shipmates know of this event.It seems to have been a major rendevous for some years I found out about it and spent a week on holiday locally this year.
I enjoyed myself making new friends amongst the sizable Merchant Navy contingent,some of whom return regularly .On the Saturday afternoon there was a MN flag event and on Sunday I was able to join in the parade before attending to my needs at the yacht club bar.
I can well recomend it!
