We have had a lot of debates here ranging from Wrinkled stockings and blue serge Panties through pubs ashore ,to religion and Politics , sometimes some of you don't agree with my politics , religion . thoughts about the Union , Immigration , Europe , The Slave Trade , Australian Politics , the dirtiest brothels , the cleanest brothels , accidents at sea , and in hotels , general insurance , and how big the barmaids tits were in the Queens , oh yes , and the Queens , Cunards ones and those in Union Castle . If we all talked about seafaring , then my twenty three years would be condensed to twenty two years eleven months and twenty five days of bordon nd a week of panic . i like the site as it is , and with Tony carrying a big stick to moderate the unruly it works well , so unlike a lot of things , in this case , don't knock it until you have tried it , stay , look around and enjoy the diversification , the quizzes , and the fact that despite political , Kulchural , lokul , religious , and ethnic differences , we all get along pretty well . Enjoy it for what it is , a good site full of old blokes being what old blokes are , and the occasional youngster , some even proper females .Enjoy , A great site run by a great team of people

I enjoy the banter of politics, of the bars we fell out of, of the women we met , of the women we wished we had never met, of the ships we sailed on and didnt sail on, of the characters we sailed with, of the immigration policy of our Politicians , of getting out of europe, of many other things, some seafaring some not, what ever takes your interest, Anthony could start a new thread on any subject he wants to and we would all join in.
Or even write a story of a memorable voyage, [SEE `Seafaring Stories` on Swing the Lamp thread].
It is the wide diversity of subjects that keep it all going, if we get out of Line Tony sorts us out.
Enjoy
Cheers
Brian.

And we are diverse , including perverted oldies who used to bog up the skirts of young girl sea scouts just to see teh flesh of a stocking top , my local Secondary modern school had a netball court six feet higher than teh pavement , so we did not need binoculars

They shouldn't even exist, totally unnecessary, totally useless, and a blight to the general taxpayer. John Sabourn

Discussions
I think we are past the case in most incidents of discussing the advantages and disadvantages of a running bowline as against a timber hitch, however anyone wanting to discuss such they would probably get a good few replies and good reasons for one or the other. I don't think freedom of speech is going to be with us too much longer if the pollies have their way, so make the most of it. John Sabourn

Take it up with your M.P.{post 46}
Relate post 47 .
Perhaps Mr Page should pertition for all netball courts to be at least six feet higher than the pavement and binoculars provided at tax payers expence for all in need.
