Hi Shipmates, my eyes were open a few years ago at a private party,I was standing by the bar. When two gents came in, who were both fighting a local election Cons and labour and saying very bad things about each other? and they policys in the local press and local news . I am thinking big trouble tonight ?? but not one bit???? called each other by first name, and bought each other drinks all night, "Best buddys" in real life Which taught me First hand the press, is all lies or Bull s---- and they will say anything to get into power at election time any promise, made by any of them is worthless!!! as they are only small c logs in a big wheel "The faceless ones behind closed doors, make up what will happen in Parliament not the voters or public we have no say. Mr Cameron is afraid that UKIP will take many seats from his party so he has promise us a vote, in a few years time???? "We wont have one" the deals are allready done.

No, with rental properties here the rates and water rates must be included as part of the rental cost. Water use the renter pays for as well as gas etc. For example if the rent was say &300 per week a portion of this would be for rates and water rates. The 20% I speak of would be of the $300 per week or $60 per week.
For those who own their own property they recieved rate and water rate charges as a separate account from the various bodies.

Thanks John. The property market here wouldn't allow you to charge enough rent to cover your costs if you wanted to give away 20% of the rent. Round here a modest £200k 3 bed home would rent out for £11-12k per annum exclusive. Not a lot of room to give away anything.
Regards
Calvin
