Year of the convoy.
I went through the different forums looking for the right place to post this but I'm afraid I could'nt find the thread to do with the 70th anniverssary of the Atlantic Convoys. As we all know there will be celebrations in London,Belfast and Liverpool. The one that I am most interested in is what is going on in Liverpool from the 24th May through to the 28th May, Lou Barron and I hope quite a few more will be coming here for that weekend. The request that I want to put out which maybe Keith or Deep Sea can help out with is this.On Radio Merseyside today was a well known character to all Blue Flu men this man John from Birkenhead was Bosun in Blue Flu and apparently was in the company for some 40 years. He reckons he got a 8 page itinerary of the celebrations for the period of the celebrations in Liverpool. It would be handy to have this so to know exactly where to go and when,I wonder where one can be obtained from.He said he could'nt find the information anywhere and he contacted his MP Frank Field and got it from him.As i say it would be handy to get hold of one of these.
Regards.
