The occasional drop of G & T, a nice glass of wine sees me through, and off on a months jolly to Tenerife next week where the damnation drugs of vino and dancing will be sufficient for my excitement, mind you when others see my tango they may well think I'm on something!![/QUOTE]

What part of the island will you be in, spent many a good holiday there back in the 70's.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

    Default Last tango in Torquay

Puerto de la Cruz John, NW part of the island, still retains its Spanish flavour unlike the south, only problem is it is wetter in P Cruz, but we like the hotel (Principe San Felipe) has always been good food (so far) undoctored drinks and plenty of places to dance nearby as well as the hotel. Also go with friends at same time of year as they have trade shows in UK to attend at end of Feb every year, so we are staying on a bit longer this year. Taking opportunities of going away whilst we can, as and when pension funds allow, as at our age you never know what is waiting around the corner for you. Well at least the rain will be warmer. Rgds Ivan

How we went from drugs to dancing, I don't know, think I'll blame Colin

    Default DA DA MEANS DEATH.

Ivan was that the main port at one time?I'm sure thats where we went to on the cruise ships and I'm not sure if the UCL did'nt call into there. If it is the same place that is where the two brothers from the famous (or infamous)Two Brothers bar in Havana ended up we were in their bar.

    Default Cruz

No Jim, the main port is Santa Cruz (the Capital) where the ferries and cruise ships come in, thats on the NE coast about an hour from Peurto de la Cruz by coach. I know when I booked a holiday some years ago at 'Peurto' de la Cruz I thought I might have seen a ship or two, but nadir absolutely nadir
