    Default Nurses suicide

While do not wish to be dragged into this very unfortunate episode i do agree with Les about over reaction . It is a thing that happens that is very sad but let the proper people handle it .Life as to go on

I agree Brian, but if the correct protocol is in place and adhered to incidents such as yours and this one in question should not happen.

Not the case Chris. the station instigated a stop to all advertising for the next week, no advertiser has pulled out so far. The monies offered will come from all advertising revenue over the next four weeks.

    Default J,P,

Agree with your sentiment's completely no amount of money can compensate this family for the unconditional love recieved from a Mother, Money is as people say the route of all evil. The truth is you don't get far in life without it. Regards John Terry.

    John,

As stated in the press, " Earlier supermarket giant Coles and Telstra pulled advertising from 2Day FM "

Southern Cross also said all advertising had been pulled from 2DayFM until "at least the end of business Monday" after several large advertisers pulled out.

So some advertisers have pulled out on day 1. and the Trust Fund is coming from advertising revenue.

    Chris.

    Hi John,
The poor Nurse is being taken back to India for burial so I guess that will cost the family a fortune, Not cheap to send a body overseas, Many proceedures have to take place. with all kinds of Certification for Death, Diseases, etc.The body has to be preserved and embalmed, Special sealed coffins have to be used and transhipment by plane is also very expensive, and many other proceedures observed. Cost of Undertakers here and the cost of the Undertakers etc in India, then road transport costs if they want to transport to somewhere a long way from the airport, and so on , the list is endless.
I dont think the family would get much change out of £15,000 to £20,000.
A helluva price for a family to find, cash up front,
So the Family would not be cashing in from their wife and mothers death. They will need every penny they can get from that Radio Station.
Transportaion of a body to another country is very difficult.
About Thirty years ago, Anne`s father died in Jersey, Channel Islands, then it cost over £1,000 to ship him back to Manchester. just a one hour flight within Britain. Dont know how much they would charge today.

Going to cop a lot over this comment but just can not help myself. Brian if all the relatives end up attending the funeral where the hell are you all going to get your take aways from as well as most shops being closed.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

Hope this will do as an opening broadside, Les. You're a strange old mix, mate, capable of thought-provoking, erudite comment one minute, then complete and utter tastelessness the next. Then, again, it might just be that you seek a response such as mine, if only to justify further offensiveness. Still, we all do it don't we?

    ........Roger
