hi tony.m. yes i agree about the three story houses being turned into flats and let to students, sometimes three to a flat. my son and daughter both live in converted flats which are classed as listed buildings. that way the landlord can get away with bad or little heating, draughty windows and slapdash decorating. do you remember the naffi building in notte street. it was partly knocked down and rebuilt. it is now student letts. every empty building is snapped up for students, many of whom are foreigners, while some local people are sleeping on the streets.

to your otherr question tony, yes i am now ok after 3 weeks in derriford, i was fitted with a pacemaker, which seems to be working ok. thank you very much for asking, and thank you also to all non site who sent me get well and best wishes. i tried to find the site dedicated to me but it has gone into limbo

People of pensionable age and in receipt of benefits will not be liable to the bedroom tax. Not sure if that is an oversight by the government and we'll get mopped up somewhere down the line or if they just think they have hit us hard enough already and are looking ahead to 2015.

    Regards
    Calvin

Thanks for that info Calvin it would appear that you are correct it saying it will not affect pensioners,so I apologise for misinforming anybody. It could affect a pensioner who's partner is under age.Anybody in reciept of housing benefit even if working and on low income will be affected.
    Regards.

    Hi John
Go to your local Mosque, they know every angle and which way on every type of claim including ones you have never heard of. They fill in all the forms for you and you will not miss a thing.

J P. if you need help filling in forms you only have to ask your local social security office and they will help you over the phone or even send someone round.

Alf,all i can say is you must be very unlucky with whoever runs things in Plymouth. Here in Southampton we have two Universities. There is a large amount of purpose built accomodation for the Students.More is being built as the Universities are expanding. My Great Nephew is at Bournemouth University. He has his own flat (He pays for it) as do all his fellow Students. Seems like your Council needs a kick up the backside. Kicking out even.
