    Default Romania

Until recently a member of the Soviet bloc. Why when Russia is now supposedly a nearly so called democratic country should they wish to join the EU. Obviously to join the gravy chain. As far I as would be concerned if still living in the UK would be to get the hell out of Europe regardless of the cost. As has been proved over and over again this joining of so called different nationalitys has not worked as has cleary been accepted as not workable by certain countrys in Europe. Why compound the situation by trying to join nations as one. Most people are proud of their heritage and want to keep it. I can see the time coming when it will be against the law to represent your country in every sport, as will be considered unacceptable to some of the dozy headed people who have put the world in its present situation. We will have to find another planet to play soccer against and start all over again. Cheers John Sabourn.

    Default Referendum

I think the UK government owe it to the people of the country to give them a referendum, the only question is to ask is to stay or come out of. If it is to stay then the British people (or what is left of them) will only have themselves to blame for any future prosperity or otherwise. This decision is not for any self seeking politician to decide on, but the British people themselves, it should be their decision alone. Regards John Sabourn

John you know that they will never hold a referendum while ever they know what the outcome would be. Has taken them decades to get the general public under control and there is no way that they are going to allow it to revert to how democracy should be. All the while they are making it possible for some far right party that will be the only alternate party to vote for. Does anyone else see the emergence of a revolution soon because of the current self interest party's that are in power in many countries.
That's the way the mop flops.

    Default Toxic waste

Hi Shipmates, we will never be given a referndum ??? {see other post} its too late for that, to happen what is needed is a !00% get out of europe party with all the voters on board, before the U.K. becomes the people land-fill site of Europe .What has happen so far with the eastern europeans / illegals is only the start. The U.K will become the main holding pen in Europe of refugees, illegals and ethnics. crime rate and social unrest will be comon place.

Louis can tell you what will happen if a get out of Europe party started up. Not only would existing party's unite but also big bussiness and the media would climb on board to discredit the new party into oblivion. Has happened in the past and still happens today. They spend more time securing the clientel around the trough than they ever do in betterment of the country. The worst part is the majority of the population fall for it every fecking time.

Very true John but I see one problem with the idea, or maybe two.
One who is now British, are they the white people who grew up there, or the multinational imports?
Two, most of the ones who may have been in favour of it back in the 1970's may now well be gone.
So who now makes the decission to stay or go, the few left who where around when it began, or those newer ones many of whom are getting extra benifits from it all.
    Happy daze John in Oz.
