I see today that 13 year old girls can get the Pill over the counter in the pharmacy, no questions asked. 2010 35,000 babies were born to girls under 18.
Now at 13 they are encouraging these kids to perform, I thought that sex with a girl under 16 was illegal.
If I had sex with a 13 year old girl, who officially by government decree, had been issued the Pill, I would be a paedophile, So what is going on????
Britain has the highest pregnancy rate in the whole of Europe for under age girls.

The thinking behind giving these kids the pill, Is the same thinking behind giving 13yr old boys condoms. It has happened in quite a few country,s were kids as young as that have both had kids of there own. My how times have changed at the age of 13yrs old the highlight of my week was trip to the local flicks on a Saturday morning. On exiting the flicks you would dream of becomming zorro one day. Iam sure we were all guilty of whipping our backside with our hand to make our horse go faster and if you were fortunate you would pick up a stick that looked like a sword and comence battle with your pals. The sad thing is most of these picture houses with Saturday morning shows for kids are closeing down in the u.k. Again i hate to repeat myself { Lack of Funds} Regards Terry.

haha I remember hitting my backside and doing a real gallop, I was a right tomboy, I would dream of becoming a cowboy girl haha. Saturday morning pictures, ahhh mum would give me a shilling, had loads of sweets, nobody watched the film, it was just one big noise, cowboys fighting on top of trains and never lost their hats friday night was comic night Dandy, Beano, knockout and girls own, lovely memories, not much money then but a wonderful growing up era. I wonder what todays young people remember about their chidhood, if they had one.

I may be wrong but Sex with a female under sixteen by a boy under 16 is legal ( well sort of)
As long as both consent. The police will not follow that case up.
What a terrible world we live in.
    Give the kids a childhood.
I remember the days when a couple on the screen went thro and closed a door , was all you got.
Now the puyblic want to see it all.
To me it's the same with newspapers. If you no like , then no buy.
No like that program , change channel.
Sorry world we live in .

Ah the Sat matinee movies where great and when older would go in for the first session of the film and stay to watch it again and again then come out bug eyed. Used to think that we where getting two more films for free but it was an art to escape the watchful eye of the usher. Recall the ice cream trays at intermission and the organ popping up for a sing along. The musical one you buggers. Can not get my head around the theme of giving the girls the pill at an early age here. One group is complaining about teenage pregnacies and the other group are complaining about them having sex to early. Can not see anyone getting it solved because it is hormones kicking in earlier than they used to. That is why the law protects them from old men trying to get into the act.

Rob liked your last post again and got me thinking about heaven and hell. I wonder if they have a refugee problem in heaven as well.
That's the way the mop flops.

    Default Ready LES!!!!!!!!!

We come along on Saturday morning ,
    Greeting everybody with a smile,
We come along on Satuday morning,
knowing that it will be worth our while,
Remember the organ comming up from know where on the stage. Some old geezer playing and singing it.
Cant remember the bloody rest m8 we had in Lpool the Winter Gardens, Your old man would give you the threepenny joey to enter and a penny to get the bus there and back. Never took the bus m8 we would run there and ride our horse back.
Great times Les as i am sure you will all remember. Candy Floss on a stick ice cream dish if she turned her back on you If only these kids today could experience it Regards buddy Terry.

Is it a sad world, or is it a case of the world moving on and us staying in the past? Very cosy there for some. Kids of 13 getting the pill, well if they are getting their leg over at that age it is better than a 13 year old mother and father syndrome. But I feel like crying at times when I see how children are treated and behave now. There is very little childhood, parenst now have the kids to satisfy either their maternal instinct or to give the parenst grandkids. I employed a young lady at the Uni, she had two in a matter of two years and both went into childcare at the age of five weeks. Dropped of at about 7.30 and not collected until after 1800. Then later on they complain because they say the school cannot disipline the children. Had the mother done a mothers role then maybe the child would know disipline. But of course it is not that simple now, we want every thing that opens and shuts, all the latest electronic gear, newest cars etc so now we need two wages and sometimes even three to make end meet. Consumerism has destroyed childhood as the kids are no longer allowed to play otuside, walk to school or take the bus, mum has to drive them there are so many nasty men out there waiting to take the kids away, or so the parenst will tell you. So the kids get fat from lack of exercise and they blame the Golden Arches for it. New programs to educate the kids and parents about obesity, but if they got out a bit more they would not be so fat! Society is slowly strangling itself by this stratagy, if it does not change soon it will not survive.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

That last post made me think about the question of what came first the chicken or the egg. Do parents not allow kids to walk or ride bikes to school because of preditors. Do preditors thrive now because there are less kids to protect those that walk or ride to school. I am of the oppinion the problem is in the foremost because I could not ever see a preditor trying it on with a group of kids. Same goes for after school as well when you think of it. Maybe if teachers where to teach instead of allocating homework then kids might be able to regain the childhood that we used to have. As for both working to pay for all the latest gadgets well I recall that things where a lot dearer for us. Just to make the point that Radio Rentals started for those that could not afford a radio.

About the Sat matinee I remembered after I posted the last one. Remember those orange drinks we used to get that tasted like they had diluted one bottle of cordial with about ten gallons of water. They must have made a fortune out of that stuff.

Well Les we now know that the chicken came first, it has been reported this week from Yorkshire that a hen gave birth to a live chicken, nothing it seems is a mystery anymore!
