Lamport and Holt Line oil paintings.
Hello fellow shipmates,
I have three oil paintings that I produced in 2007 for a 2008 Calendar remembering this famous line. I actually sailed on several L and H ships in the 70's whilst contracted with Blue Star Line as engineer.The oil paintings are the last of the series, all others have sold .Each is 12x24" on canvas panel, and would be sent well packaged but unframed for a buyer to chose their on frames and keep weight to a minimum in postage. The ships are;
1/ ss Voltaire in her white and light blue livery for passengerservices to South America in the late 1920's (sister to ss Van Dyke) heading out from UK.
2/ ss Rubens leaving Montevideo loaded on her regular run between Liverpool and S/Am.
3/ mv Ronsard on the Rio Grande river bound for Port Allegro.
All are in excellant order and capture a time when this line was a regular visitor and favourite to many,and can post an image if interest requires so. Thank you and best wishes. Full details will of course be given to any member seriously interested. regards, Wallace
