    I took the SS PATUCA to scrap in kaohsiung We manage to rescue various item before the chinese got her. the ships wheel went to a good home in bolton, redirected from its intended destination company HQ in New York.
    and i have the Chelsea wheelhouse clock. there's a lot more i could write about

    Thanks for that Geoff, I am into the electoral roll as I type for everyone with those intitials.
    I only ever met one Bolton Man in Fyffes an Engineer, maybe fridge, way back in 1954, and that was in the Palais on one Saturday night when I was on leave. He lived in Horwich which is now part of Bolton.

    I am unloading all my swag now, I am in my 80s and no one in the family want them, So if I snuff it, they will all go in the Bin.

    Hi Geoffrey,
    The ships were already pretty worn out when the Stars & Stripes were replaced by the Union Jack and the red-white -blue. No airco, but fans and a closed bridge which I thought was a pity in the tropics. Yet, these were a unique series of post war refers; reason that I had them modelled. Some ships were broken down in Belgium were different artifacts were saved and offered for sale the Netherlands.

    I took the TETELE to the breakers in Ghent, Belgium around 1959 ish.
