Hmm....As a Tory,and a committed satisfied so far Brexiteer,I have a dilemma.
The emerging three contenders for the party leadership are 1. ex Chancellor Rishi Sunak.2. Min.of State for Trade Penny Mordaunt.3. Foreign Sec.Liz Truss.

So,I do have an aversion to the rather pompous,billionaire Rishi Sunak -to me,I do not like a billionaire spending and controlling my money,and not his-and ,you can take it from me,taxes will be raised.
Penny Mordaunt is rather a lightweight. So that leaves Liz Truss. But,you must remember,in true Lib Dem fashion ,Liz Truss was a chameleon,being a member of the LD's and an an avid Remainer. ("Britain's Best in Europe !" Only when she defected to the Conservatives did she 'about face' and embraced,or was forced to embrace Brexit.....hmmm...... she is gaining support though,currently being supported by Lord Frost, the ex-Brexit minister.

So far nobody has been 'dishing the dirt on Rishi' or speaking out about their dislike of him--that may be understandable,for obviously they wouldn't be offered a post in his cabinet should he win it !...

It was "Get Rid of Boris ",they cried ........ but oh what have they done--if only I could bang heads together. The current phrase being used for the ousting of Boris and misgivings about it is "Seller's Remorse. I think there will be more of that later this year.

Exactly my thoughts Graham, not struck with Sunak, and the way he resigned, bit below the belt i felt. Now i had a lot of respect for Frost, i though he bargained hard with the EU and would not budge, and he thinks Mourant is wishy washy, not good, that leaves Truss, she has made some Gaffs, and was not fully committed to Brexit, but to my mind is slightly the lesser of two evils. However there is nothing i am able to do about it, as i am not a member with a vote. As have said before i am a floating voter, will stick my cross with whoever i think will do the best job. The open discussions from all candidates tonight will be interesting on chanel 4.

In an article in the online mail Senior Officers are enraged.
PM candidate Penny Mordaunt claims to have experience in Royal Naval Reserve
She has not been deployed and does not currently receive a salary or train
But highly-decorated former senior Royal Navy officer questions her credentials
They went on to say 'she’s never qualified or been commissioned' in the navy.

I strongly suspect that many of these enraged un named senior officers in the RN have not been deployed in a war zone either.
So which one of the honorable ladies or gentlemen have started a smear campaign , they must be concerned this lady may become there boss.

When we come to the prospective Tory leader TV debates, the only fair way to conduct this is to have them all wired up to lie detector machines. Every time one of them makes a "mistake" a flashing red light appears over their head.
At the end of the debate the one with the fewest "mistakes" wins. A sure way not to get another Boris or Doris.

Personally I do not care who wins the battle because they will only be PM for two years. Hardly worth getting another Tory donor to pay for a wall paper change. The incoming Labour government will have to fix a country which is completely broken
Air ports, economy, inflation, NHS, Home Office, cost of living, energy, housing, all broken beyond Tory repair.

All we can do Keith is hope we do not have a heart attack, fall or any other emergency. The reports of hospitals being in crisis, if we need an ambulance chances are we will be dead before the arrive.

The only reason that there is crisis at the hospitals is because G. P. 's are curtailing the amount of appointments that give out.
It is far easier to see a consultant at a hospital than a G.P., and I speak from experience.

Watched the channel 4 Programme tonight with the runners and riders for the big seat in government. Looks as if Rishi & Lz are going to end up tearing lumps out of each other. How tall is Penny Morduant, BIG girl.

Scoring for me as to who performed best was Tom Tugendhat. Did not take long for the biased tweets to appear.

Candidates can barely get a word in with this biased woke presenter in this debate. Why give left-wing #Channel4 the first leadership debate? ��*♂️ #ToryLeadershipContest. Not sure what programme he was watching.

Kemi Badenoch, did her parents have a choice of sunames? Really BAD (ENOCH) , sorry just being silly, but come on the girl said she cannot get an appointment to get her broken tooth sorted since the Covid pandemic. ffs!!! go private same as a lot of folk are forced to do.
She did repeat often that she was an engineer, bet she would not be a lot of use in a Doxford crankcase.
