Breakfast was an apple with processed cheese slices and two chapattis (lifted during the evening meal) eaten in my portakabin which smelled like the Bugis St. sh-thouse. Other meals were indiscriminate curries and boiled rice.

Hi Gordon
Yes I was on Port Nelson when we had Sir Francis Chichester and his wife on board as passengers to New Zealand. On arrival in Kiwi there was a Gipsy Moth flypast in his honour. I won a cake at sea school for correctly guessing the date of his return to UK! Ah happy days.
