Breakfast was an apple with processed cheese slices and two chapattis (lifted during the evening meal) eaten in my portakabin which smelled like the Bugis St. sh-thouse. Other meals were indiscriminate curries and boiled rice.

    Hi Gordon
Yes I was on Port Nelson when we had Sir Francis Chichester and his wife on board as passengers to New Zealand. On arrival in Kiwi there was a Gipsy Moth flypast in his honour. I won a cake at sea school for correctly guessing the date of his return to UK! Ah happy days.

Definitely on board when we carried Sir Francis Chichester and his wife, they were going to NZ to see forest they owned being logged. There was a Gypsy Moth flypast laid on when we arrived in NZ
