    Hello Alex
The only one I come up with that is 2 days away from that date is
    R241327 DAVIDSON J 27/10/1914 ABERDEEN

    But says Born Aberdeen!??
Could this be him at all?
    Cheers

Wonder if this could be any relation at all?
    Brother may be??
    Cheers

Fantastic effort, very much appreciated, but definitely not my father, he, his five brothers and sister were all born in Burghead, the only thing that may have changed would be when the moved from 34 King Street to number 36.
As I said I really appreciate your efforts.

    Hello,
Again thanks for the suggestions, much appreciated, I was in contact with Donald MacDonald, the researcher for the MNA, and for the £ 60.00 paid, he checked at the National Archive and after extensive looking, found no record and has now given up searching, as he put it for the moment.
I now find the whole event quite intriguing, probably down the Blue Star, but ??????.
