    Post Re: Dave Share,

    Hello Dave,
I was a first trip D.H.U. on the 'Athenic' in 68/69. A trip I'll never forget. You always remember your first one.
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed reading your book. I was surprised you neglected to mention the S.O.S.
we got when we headed down through the Galapagos to try and help the Greek ship ( 'Fairsea', 'Fairstar', 'Fairsky'.)
anyway one of them I can never remember which. I still have your book but would like to be able to get another copy.
Sadly I don't think it's available any place. It's such a long time ago now but I'm almost sure that it was me that took
the photograph of you, Bob Dunkley, 'the Wild One' and Will over the side on the stage. I seem to remember Dennis
a relative of yours was also on that trip. I think we paid off up in Hull as there was a dock strike on in London.I know
it was bloody cold heading up the North Sea in February.

I can't imagine for one second that you would remember me Dave, the bosun 'Jimmy Bird' nicknamed me 'prof'
for some reason don't know why. Anyway Dave I hope this 'e' mail finds you well.

'Oceans of Time' should have been a best seller. You'd be a millionaire now mate.

    Best Regards

    Bob MacIntyre.
