HI my dad sailed with the clan line for many years, my mum going with him on many occasions, was just wondering if anyone knew him as a purser. Would like to catch up with people who knew him and exchange stories.

hello
I sailed with your dad on the Balmoral Universal, I was on there from 06/05 to 17/09/1980 when I left to get married. we sailed from Uk/Continent to South America. I was 4th engineer. We had an engine room fire when anchored off Santos but managed to get it out ourselves. PM me if you want more info or chat.

Hi, I sailed with your Dad (and Mum) on a couple of occasions but I really cannot remember which vessels. I think one was a bulker and another a fruit boat. However I have some really good memories of your Dad - a great guy.

Big Lawrie
Hi
Sailed with Lawrie-on I think 3 Clan Line ships.
In fact I stayed with your mum and dad for a couple of nights many years ago.
If my memory serves me right as you come down from Sitehill towards PC World your parents stayed on the left.
Loved your old man and he was the purser on my first ship when I was a deck cadet and again sailed with him when I had qualified as a 3rd Officer.
Would love to meet up for a chat-still live down the road in North Berwick
