Sorry every one with the dates- Christopher SMITH was born 1893 or 1895 and born in Bootle, Lancs, Died in 1925 Now have more info. His identity Certificate number was 326759. Dis A No. 7446602. The official number of the vessel MELITA was recorded as being 136367. Many apologies for the confusion, I hope that the cert. and Dis Numbers mean something and are helpful

As you say you have a lot to go through, will keep looking, but if you can update as often as pos, saves us going over the same ground, looked up a fair bit today, need answers to some questions to eliminate or not some. Touch wood for if not all you require, much that may assist. K
